What is Hexarelin?
Hexarelin is a synthetic six-residue growth-hormone secretagogue. The selected early human experiment measured hormone release, rather than muscle gain or injury recovery.
Biological role or research focus
Human endocrine physiology.
The study did not establish changes in strength, body composition, injury recovery, or long-term clinical outcomes. Twelve volunteers and an acute observation window cannot resolve sustained benefit or safety.

Molecular structure
How Hexarelin works
Hexarelin stimulates growth-hormone release. In the selected study, the acute hormonal response was the measured outcome; it cannot be substituted for a demonstrated functional benefit.

Clinical context & research status
The evidence featured here is short-term experimental endocrine physiology. It does not establish a treatment for muscle growth, poor sleep, or tendon injuries.

Early healthy-volunteer physiology study
Did hexarelin stimulate acute growth-hormone release?
- Population / model
- 12 healthy adult men.
- Study design
- Blinded placebo-controlled study examining acute hormone responses across studied exposures.
- Main finding
- Growth hormone rose after hexarelin, peaked at roughly 30 minutes, and returned toward baseline by about 240 minutes.
- Limits & context
- The study did not establish changes in strength, body composition, injury recovery, or long-term clinical outcomes. Twelve volunteers and an acute observation window cannot resolve sustained benefit or safety.

Safety & precautions
What the featured evidence can tell us
An acute hormone-release study cannot establish safety during repeated exposure. Endocrine effects and possible effects on other hormone pathways need separate assessment.

Questions worth asking
- Does a higher growth-hormone measurement prove more muscle?
- What population, comparator, and route were actually studied?
- The study did not establish changes in strength, body composition, injury recovery, or long-term clinical outcomes. Twelve volunteers and an acute observation window cannot resolve sustained benefit or safety.
- What adverse effects, uncertainty, and conflicts of interest does the original source report?
Frequently asked questions
Does a higher growth-hormone measurement prove more muscle?
No. A hormone measurement is a surrogate outcome. Muscle strength, function, and adverse effects need direct measurement in an appropriate trial.

Does this page establish a supplier’s product quality?
No. A publication describes its own tested material. It does not verify a supplier listing, batch identity, purity, or clinical suitability.
