Research assistant: data & AI
Your questions
Questions are sent to PepsRadar’s server to search our database. When AI is enabled, your question and a small selection of relevant library records are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate an explanation. PepsRadar does not persist question or answer text, and the chat is not saved to your browser storage. Cloudflare processes requests under its own service terms and data policies.
Do not enter identifying details or personal medical histories. This assistant supports research literacy; it does not offer individualized medical care.
Usage limits
The server maintains temporary request counters, including a daily-changing hash of the network address provided by Cloudflare. These counters expire after two days and are cleaned up by the scheduled worker. No raw network address is stored in the research database. The initial limits are eight AI attempts per hour per network and thirty AI answers per day across the site, with a separate allowance for editorial drafting. Provider limits may be reached earlier.
How answers are grounded
The assistant searches selected editorial records and supplies relevant excerpts to the model. Returned citation IDs must match those excerpts. This check does not prove every generated sentence is correct: read the sources and their limitations. The current model is Cloudflare’s hosted Llama 3.3 70B Instruct. If generation is unavailable or citations cannot be validated, the page displays source results without an AI explanation.
Collection and review
The source collector checks an allowlist of public feeds. New items appear as source metadata. Newly collected source text is kept in an editorial inbox, separate from the assistant’s answer library. An editor must approve an original summary before it joins that library. If an underlying item changes, it returns to review and its previous summary is removed from answer retrieval.
Videos are not automatically transcribed. Indexed video titles help locate discussions but are excluded from medical answer grounding. Editorial approval is not independent medical review.
